AIS Reading                                                                          

Hello, we are Kelly Kane and Jacinta Jeffers the Reading Academic Intervention Service Providers in grades 3-6. AIS Reading is a service provided to students who need additional support to meet their learning goals in reading.  Students who qualify for AIS in reading are selected based upon classroom data, assessments, and teacher recommendations. Reading intervention students will meet in small groups in an AIS reading room during the school day.

The frequency and duration of reading sessions will be based on individual student needs. Our assessments are ongoing; therefore, our reading groups may change throughout the school year. Students will work on strengthening their foundational reading skills using multiple strategies in decoding, fluency, and reading comprehension.
