Students from Babylon Junior-Senior High School’s virtual enterprise class, led by teacher Claire Reilly, attended the 2025 Virtual Enterprises International Youth Business Summit (YBS) on April 8 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.
The Youth Business Summit is a premier global business convention that this year brought together more than 4,000 students from over 160 schools across 18 states and six countries. During the two-day event, students engaged in international trade exhibitions, business plan competitions, financial literacy challenges, and leadership roundtables, which gave the students the opportunity to showcase the skills they had developed while operating their own simulated businesses throughout the school year.
Babylon’s student-entrepreneurs had the opportunity to network, collaborate, and trade with peers from the United States and eight other countries. They also participated in competitions such as the International Trade Exhibition and Sales Pitch Competition, gaining real-world experience in business strategy, marketing, and finance.
