Babylon Junior-Senior High School Ranked Among the Nation’s Top Schools
The Babylon Union Free School District is proud to announce that Babylon Junior-Senior High School has been recognized among the nation’s best public high schools, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual list for 2025. The ranking placed the school at 139th in New York State and 1,452 in the nation among nearly 18,000 public high schools evaluated.

This honor truly belongs to every educator and support professional in the Babylon district who contributes to our students’ success from their very first day.”
The rankings methodology measures key indicators of student achievement, including college readiness, graduation rates, and proficiency in math and reading. Babylon High School, with a total enrollment of 441 students, boasts a 97% graduation rate, a 62% AP participation rate, and a 10:1 student-teacher ratio.
