INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC (Band & Orchestra)
PURPOSE/GOALS

Being in Band or Orchestra can be one of the most rewarding experiences during the school years and beyond. There are essentially four C’s that are part of participation in music making:
1.    Creativity
2.    Collaboration
3.    Communication
4.    Critical thinking 
These four C’s are the building blocks of essential skills needed to grow up in the 21st century. 

REHEARSALS/CONCERTS

Information has been sent home with exact starting dates and times of rehearsals, along with all concert dates. Rehearsals will begin the week of September 30th.

WEEKLY LESSONS

Lessons will begin the week of September 23rd/and or the following week. Students in grades 4 - 6 will receive a small group weekly lesson once per week and will rotate throughout the school day. Students in third grade will receive a lesson once every two weeks. All students will be made aware of their first lesson time soon. 

Music is essential for the full development of every child. Students only need to show up willing to try their best, and the rewards will be plentiful and long-lasting.
